JUNIOR PARTS ASSISTANT

PTS Plus is a privately owned, family run business. PTS plus offers serving and repairs for light and heavy equipment service agents for Norwood’s. We have the franchise for, Polaris, Husqvarna, C-DAX. The highly professional team here aim to ensure clients receive industry leading customer care.

Due to and increases in work demand there is a position available for a Parts assistant.

You will work with the parts manger with day to day activity’s in a busy parts department and supply environment.  This position involves liaising with suppliers as well as demanding customers

This role may suit a school leaver or someone wishing to change careers and complete and apprenticeship. Being mechanically minded would be a distinct advantage. On job training will be provided but you must be able to think on your feet.

You will need:

Enthusiasm, energy, and an outgoing personality with a positive attitude and ability to learn

Excellent time management skills

The ability to use computer accurately and effectively

Ability to follow orders

Be physically fit as some lifting may be required

Have great people skills

Committed to a team and company and who isn’t afraid to muck in.

Must be fast and efficient and have a strong attention to details to look after a parts store room.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

Inwards/outwards stock processing

Checking incoming and outgoing stock is correct

Assisting customer in the store

Processing customer orders in a timely and accurate manner

Accurate stock handling

Rolling stock takes.

Replenishment of stock

Working close with the service team to book in work

Source and order parts accurately and efficiently

 

You must be prepared to work overtime in the busy season and in weekends if an emergency arises.

PTS Plus is a well-established, privately owned, family run business, who sell and service Polaris, Husqvarna, UBCO bikes and C-DAX. This is a hands-on role, guiding clients through the process of choosing & providing the right piece of equipment for the job.  Being mechanically or agriculturally minded would be an advantage, but not compulsory.  On job training will be provided, but you must be able to think on your feet.  Identification of target market opportunities and creating self-generated appointments will be the key to success.

Impress us, as we will not be employing just anyone.  This role will remain open until filled.

You will need:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting customers in our showroom, on the phone and offsite at client’s premises
  • Equipment demonstrations
  • Accurate quoting
  • Assisting clients with finance applications
  • Working close with our service team
  • Assistance with Marketing / Advertising
  • Effective display of sales equipment
  • Deliveries & pickup of clients’ equipment

 

Remuneration: Retainer + commission based
